Deep Sea Mini Islet vs Purple Swallowtail Mini

Silent

Kailh Purple Swallowtail Mini shares a similar structure to Kailh’s Deep Sea Mini silent switches. The design incorporates two silicone rings on both sides of the switch’s stem. The rings reduce noise during both bottoming out and rebound.

Light weight

The switch has an actuation force of 30gf, making it very light but still heavy enough to avoid accidental triggers. This low force requirement makes the switch responsive yet easy to activate, ideal for those who find heavy weight switches tiring or uncomfortable.

Advanced actuation

”Advanced actuation” means the Kailh Silent Purple Swallowtail Mini registers key presses early at just 0.8mm of travel, faster than many traditional switches that actuate around 1.2mm to 2.0mm. This works like Kailh Saker Mini switches. The shorter pre-travel allows quick trigger / key input. And this is good for fast typists, programmers and gamers who need efficiency.

Quick bottom out feedback

The new bottom housing includes 4 tiny blocks that shorten the total travel distance to 1.8mm. The 4 tiny blocks are not included in the Deep Sea mini series or other switches with a normal travel distance at 2.3mm. The short travel distance to bottom-out makes each key press feels quicker.

Kailh Silent Purple Swallowtail Mini is a key switch similar to the Kailh Saker Mini, but with silent features.
