2024 Year in Review

This year has been truly remarkable, marked by growth, challenges, and most importantly, your unwavering support. You all have always been amazing!

Building on the tradition we started last year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the great year that was 2024. This year has been truly remarkable, marked by growth, challenges, and most importantly, your unwavering support. Thank you so much for giving me ideas and providing feedback on how to improve and build the keyboards and products that are needed. You all have always been amazing!

Supporting Open Source Projects

Sponsorship

As we keep backing open-source projects through GitHub sponsorship, we’ve also begun offering DIY keyboard supplies to creators. One of the successful projects is Form Neo by phamfoo. If you’re interested in sponsorship, please feel free to email me. I’m always thankful for the opportunity to provide a small helping hand in your projects.

Manufacturing and Enhancing Our Products

Product Enhancements in beekeeb

This year at beekeeb, we’ve taken a step forward by working with different factories directly to enhance the quality of our products. From design, prototyping, testing to production, it’s been a great experience. Through this process, we have successfully improved a range of items, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch products that exceed their expectations.

Keyboard Cases

Aluminium Case

We started producing premium and durable aluminium cases. Our goal in designing these cases was to create a minimal appearance while integrating rich functionality. To achieve this, we placed screws at the bottom to secure the top and bottom cases, giving a clean appearance from the top view. Each case includes a sound-dampening silicone sheet to enhance the typing experience and prevent static discharge damage. Additionally, the Corne v4 cases feature a 2-way tenting design for added adaptability.

Our aluminum cases are currently available for the Corne v4 MX, Corne v4 Low Profile and Piantor Pro 42 keys / 36 keys.

Cables

Cable Updates

We have also made some improvements to the cables included in our DIY keyboard and pre-soldered keyboard kits. If you’d like to explore the specifics of these updates, you can find more photos in the showcase.

Rubber Feet

Rubber Feet

There are occasions when we’ve been inquired about where to purchase the rubber feet included in our kits. We offer four different types of custom-made rubber feet designed for various case styles. Some are ideal for low-profile cases while others offer enhanced surface grip. I finally added them and detailed their specifications in our site.

New Projects

Blank Keyboard

Some New Keebs

Blank Keyboard

We added several new keyboards on our site. Some of them have custom case designs and tailored modifications to cater to our customers’ needs. This lineup includes the wireless Urchin by duckyb , the Blank keyboard equipped with a touchpad by DreaM117er , the popular Corne v4 by foostan, and the Thorium wireless keyboard by note96e that supports Bluetooth connectivity through a dongle.

2025?

I’ve dedicated my efforts to enhancing our products throughout 2024. As I reflect, I see areas where we can further improve. Whether it’s refining our documentation, optimizing our website, reducing soldering times, or assisting customers in finding their ideal keyboard, there’s always room for growth. Hopefully, in 2025, I will make some good progress in delivering great designs to the ergonomic keyboard community. Fingers crossed for an awesome 2025!
